25 Days of Christmas – Day 17 Ayda
Day 17 of 25 Days of Christmas with Simple Life Pattern Company and Art Gallery Fabrics has arrived. I’m excited to show you a vintage inspired Ayda I have made.
Ayda is a gorgeous dress than comes in doll, baby, girls, women, and knit! For the dress I sewed, I used woven fabric. I drafted a bib for the front of the dress and added an eyelet lace for a vintage look.
Chacely is learning to twirl so I chose to add a circle skirt. Since Ayda is a sleeveless pattern, I used the sleeves from Wendy. Sleeves were a must on this winter dress because I didn’t want to layer with a top underneath and loose the drama of the back bodice. The deep V of the back bodice is absolutely stunning, and also means no button holes to add or skirt placket!
If you find yourself running short on time, reach for Ayda. If I had not added the sleeves or bib I could have finished this dress in under an hour! I want to try a lace version next.
To achieve this look
AGF Fabric is Wreathed Woodlands.
Tights are from Little Stocking Company.
Bow is from Haddie Bear.

Recipe
I received this recipe from a friend several years ago and it has become my favorite holiday candy. This recipe is really easy to make and only requires a few ingredients. If you like peanut butter then get ready to be addicted to this treat like I am! I made a batch last night for my annual cookie swap and I’m wishing I had made a double batch so I would have had more leftovers.
