25 Days of Christmas – Day 7 Patricia
On the seventh day of Christmas Simple Life Pattern Company and Art Gallery Fabrics gave to me a vintage length Patricia that you must see!
To create this look I cut the the top skirt layer 2 inches longer than the top length on the pattern. I then layered two different lace trims on the hem. For the underskirt, I cut it 3/8″ longer than the top skirt from raw edge to bottom of the lace trim. I then cut ruffles according to the pattern and sewed them onto my underskirt.
When attaching the skirt to the bodice, I added bright red piping to break up the print and give more detail to the dress.
For the back of the dress I added snap closures for easy on and off. You can find my tutorial on how to make Patricia a button back here.
I just adore how this dress turned out. These fabrics have always been one of my favorite collections from AGF and I am so glad I finally got a chance to sew them.
To achieve this look
AGF fabrics are Paradis Woodlands and Row by Row Woodlands from the Woodlands Fusion Collection.
Socks are from Little Stocking Company.
Shoes are from Monkey Feet.
Headpiece is from Clairebow Baby.
Freebie
Today’s craft uses items you may have lying around your sewing room. How cute are these embroidery hoop ornaments? You could always substitute using fabric from your scrap pile instead of paper. I think I may just have to put up a mini Christmas tree in my craft room with some of these embroidery hoop ornaments on it!

Recipe
You can’t have a vintage inspired Christmas without some Christmas candy. One of my favorite candies, besides my Nanny’s fudge, is divinity. This microwave recipe cuts down on time and prep with excellent results. Let me know, what is your favorite Christmas candy?
