Now that we are all trying to get back into our routines after a fabulous summer break, it’s time to dig that sewing machine back out and go to town! And what better way to get your “sew-jo” back than with some FREE patterns! There is one catch, you have to join the fan group on Facebook. There you will find the coupon code in the pinned post. Let’s just dive in and get to the good stuff. I will start by my FAVORITE freebie, Cami’s Tank Top. This tank is super fast to sew up and my girls love wearing them. They wear them all summer and as a PJ top as well. Cami’s is designed for knit fabrics but dont let that scare you, it really is a SUPER easy and fast pattern. Try it for yourself! Okay, my next favorite freebie we offer is the Gracie’s Pocket Skirt. This skirt is perfect for girls who love pockets. The skirt is made up of panels that create the pockets on the sides. This pattern is very beginner friendly too, so if you are new to sewing, this is a great starter pattern that has a lot of style and is not just a plain skirt. Gracie’s is designed for woven fabrics for the skirt portion and features a knit “yoga” style waistband.
Next up is an outfit combo, Angie’s & Elle’s. Angie’s & Elle’s outfit is available in BABY sizes and GIRL sizes, so be sure to choose which one you want. Angie’s features a shirred bodice. Using elastic thread, you will shirr the top portion of the top. If you are new to shirring, it’s okay, we have some helpful tips in the pattern for you! Angie’s is designed for woven fabric and is more of an advanced beginner / intermediate pattern. Elle’s shorts are your good ol’ basic shorts pattern. Very beginner friendly, perfect for everyday and super fast to sew up. Dress them up with some fun trims (like pom poms or crochet lace) or keep them simple for playing in the dirt. Elle’s are designed for woven fabrics but will also work great in knit.
For all those girls that like big bows, we have the perfect knit headband pattern for you! Barb’s headband has a few different sizes for all ages and also have different bow sizes for those that don’t want to sport a big bow. This pattern is designed for knit fabric and is beginner friendly.
Looking for a a pretty cape pattern that is great for the cooler months, and even better for those fancy holiday parties? Juliette’s Capelet starts at doll size (18″ American Girl equivalent) and goes to size 12 so you get a very wide range of sizes in this one pattern. Add trim or use luxurious fabrics to really make this cape stand out. have faux fur or minky laying around, use that for the underside and your girl will not want to take it off! Juliette’s ties in the front and covers the top of the kids arms.
*Please note that this was altered a bit to add the border print ruffle. I shortened the circle portion and then added a ruffle and did the same this with the lining.
