Day 1: Kinley Sewalong
Good morning and welcome to day 1 of the Kinley Sewalong! Each day, we will be completing a few simple steps so that by the end of the week you will have a gorgeous finished dress! If you get behind, I will leave some catchup days at the end of the week. Here is what this sewalong week is going to look like:
For day 1, the first step is to purchase Kinley and Rayann. I am going to be teaching you how to make Kinley into a fall/winter approved dress by using the sleeves from the Rayann pattern. For this sewalong, you are welcomed to join in and add sleeves to your Kinley as well, or leave the sleeves off if your part of the world is still hot! Now the hard part. It’s time to choose your fabrics! I chose the beautiful Emmy Grace designed by Bari J for Art Gallery Fabrics along with some coordinating solids. Make sure you fabrics are washed and ready to cut tomorrow! You will also want to make sure you have the other recommended materials on hand.
