March Mash-Up Madness
Hey all! I am suuuper excited to tell you about the fun new challenge we are going to have for the month of March!! Katie and I have been doing a lot of brainstorming this year on different ways to get more involved with our amazing fans!! We love our fans and love seeing all of the gorgeous creations you make using our patterns. So we came up with March Mash-Up Madness! What is March Mash-up Madness, you ask? Let me tell you!!
The entire month of March we want to see the best mash-ups you can come up with. This is a chance to really be creative with your designs and show us your best ideas. We have such an amazing and talented group and I am really excited to see what ya’ll come up with.
Each entry must include at least 2 SLPco patterns to be eligible. We have added a photo album in the Facebook group for you to add your entries to. Make sure when you are adding your photos to the album that they are high-quality shots. Photography will be key in this challenge. This is how we will choose the winner so make sure you have all your projects added to the March Mash-up Madness photo album on or before March 31st, 11:59 pm CST. You are welcome to add as many projects to the album as you can come up with. The more you add the more chances you have of winning.
The winner of March Mash-Up Madness will get a $50 store credit to shop Simple Life patterns!!
So how do you win, you ask? We will be choosing our winner based on a few different criteria.
Creativity– We want to see your most creative mash-ups during this challenge. Romper add-on and Adelyn bodice aren’t going to cut it. I’m not saying you can’t use any of the add-on patterns but we want to see you use them outside of the box.
Uniqueness– We want this to be your creative baby, not the same as the one you saw in the photo album already!
Use of Fabric– There are so many ways to use fabric, besides just sewing a front and back bodice together. Let’s see how creative you can get with the use of fabric (bodice inset, paper piecing, etc.)
Photography– Like I said already photography is key. You don’t have to be a photographer to have a great picture. We just want to see great-quality, well thought our photos.
Styling– I love how Sherri from Mami de Sofiona used the old vintage suitcases in the pictures above. How will you style your look?
Technique– What are some of your favorite sewing techniques? Or ones you’ve been wanting to try? We want to see them here.
and Skill Level– This group is filled with some of the most talented ladies out there. This is your time to shop us your skill level.
You must add the pattern names to each of your pictures when adding them to the photo album. If you write up a blog post about your mash-up we want to see that too so add it to your picture as well.
