May Pattern of the Month: Callie’s Tie Back Top Dress & Maxi

It’s officially May 1st, which means it’s officially the end of the school year for a lot of kids in the US. Not mine though, and they’ll let you know about it! They’re quite disappointed that they don’t get out until mid-June.

If your schools are anything like the schools around here, this means lots of fun end of the school year activities. We have spring concerts, spring fairs, field days, so many opportunities for sewing for these special events!

This pattern is designed for woven fabrics (light- medium weight) and needs to fit snugly against the child’s body. Included is a step by step tutorial in the pattern on how to perfectly blend sizes for the ultimate fit.

Callie is every little girls dream dress. Starting with the beautiful and unique “arrow” back and tie straps that wont slip down. The back buttons (or snaps) closed.

Choose from top, dress or maxi lengths. The skirt can be “simple” or you can do the hem band version or even a ruffle version for a wide variety of looks. You can also add the adorable square pockets.
