Simple Life Pattern Company
Kinley’s Cascading Flounce Top & Dress
Sizes 2t – 12
Difficulty Level: Advanced Beginner
This pattern features layered printing option. Instead of having to print all the sizes out, you can choose to only print the size(s) you need. This will help save that precious ink!
Kinley’s Cascading Flounce Dress and Top features a beautiful neckline, optional bow and sash (full faux sewn on sash and a button back sash to cinch the waist in for a fitted look), a cascading flounce skirt and lots and lots of twirl! There are no closures on this pattern, it slides on over the child’s head. The skirt has four options including circle and gathered skirts for both the flounce and simple versions. You can also make simple versions with no front flounce.
This listing is for a digital file, not a physical item. This tutorial includes detailed step by step instructions and pictures to make all variations listed. Pattern pieces are all computer drawn with the exception of square or rectangle pattern pieces, those are listed in a cutting chart to save you paper & ink.

This adorable pattern has clear and simple step by step instructions. Lots of variety for many different looks. One of my absolute favorites

Instructions for this pattern need to be completely rewritten.. it is decribed as advanced beginner, but that is far from accurate. I work in the costume shop for a professional theatre so am no stranger to using permanent patterns or making my own. The instructions provided are not only over stated but inaccurate. There are also things in the pattern/design that are never mentioned in the instructions making it difficult to work with. The dress is adorable when completed but, only tackle this one using your own skills versus following the instructions. It’s easier if you just go with what you know.
