Quick Valentines Dress

Hello! My name is Madi and I am here to share an idea for a last minute Valentine’s day dress along with a fun Valentines theme drink that we made!

I should start off with. I recently started sewing in 2019 with some projects and fully started sewing more towards the end of 2019 and discovered how much I love holiday sewing. I love using fabrics and patterns that work for a holiday but also perfect for everyday wear so the dress or outfit gets worn more throughout the year so this year for Valentines I decided to go with the Patricia pattern with the Knit Add – On and paired it with this gorgeous fabric from the “Wild & Bloom” collection designed by Bari J for Art Gallery Fabrics.

The Patricia pattern has so many options that makes it a great pattern to use again and again. I made this same kiddo a tank top Patricia with the Knit add on for Fourth of July and she loved it so much that I knew it would be a cute Valentines dress with this gorgeous fabric. For my Patricia I decided to do in between a moderate and dramatic high-low just for personal preference. I went with the ruffle skirt option and did elbow length sleeves with the gorgeous bell sleeves..

Miss A also loves that the ruffle on this dress makes it a fun twirling dress and she loves the soft knit fabric so this dress will for sure be getting lots of wear and love until it no longer fits!

And an added bonus – we made some “ Cupid Floats” from pinterest to have the full effect of Valentine’s day with this dress! Super super easy to make and according to the adorable model she says it’s super yummy!

Scoop of Vanilla ice cream in a cup, add cherry 7-up or Strawberry Fanta ( we did Cherry 7-up for a more light pink color ) , add some whip cream to the top. They say to add a red vine for a straw but we decided to just use a cute straw and add heart sprinkles instead to the whip cream.
