Roam in Tucson | The Simple Life Pattern COmpany

Roam in Tucson

Who hasn’t been drooling over the new Hawthorne Threads fabric lines?!?! I love the fresh new color palettes and new designs. I especially love that these fabrics will NEVER SELL OUT! How great is that?  Last week my family went to Tucson, my hometown, to visit my family. When I saw the Roam fabric line, I knew I needed to make my girls outfits with this fabric for our trip! (here’s a sneak peek…)

As most of you know, I have identical twin girls. They always want to dress similarly but hate to wear the same thing. I selected the Ruby and Daphne patterns from The Simple Life Company to complete my looks. I love the diversity of these patterns!

For Mia, I made the Ruby dress, I used the Plains in Shell for the dress and accented it with some Weathervane in Light Midnight and Sagebrush in Midnight. I love the length, the fit, and those sleeves!! Be still my heart!

For Megan’s outfit I made a Ruby short sleeved top with the single layer Daphne skirt. I used Buffalo Plaid in Midnight. LOVE this!! I added one pocket using the Feather Collective in Shell fabric. So cute!! Her Ruby top was made with Big Sky in Dawn. Honestly, when I saw this fabric on the Hawthorne Threads website, I wasn’t sure I would like it. Was I ever wrong! The fabric is gorgeous!! The colors look exactly like a southwestern sunrise!! I accented this top with the very versatile Weathervane in Shell.

Don’t you just love how I used only 2 patterns but got such different, yet complimentary looks? I really love how the colors coordinate so well.

I couldn’t just stop at 2 outfits. You would think having 2 girls would make it easier to pick out fabrics and designs. It doesn’t. I always find myself making 3 of everything. I decided I really did need one more outfit to show off all of the Roam gorgeousness.

For this last look, I made the double layered skirt with Feather Collective in Shell (I <3 feathers!) for the top layer and the Sagebrush in Midnight for the bottom layer and waistband. I made a short sleeve Ruby top using the Weathervane in Light Midnight and trimmed it with my leftover Plains in Shell! I’m slightly obsessed with this outfit!! How adorable is this? I just can’t decide on which look I like best!

One thing is for certain! My girls were the best looking girls Roamin’ around Tucson!!

Thanks Hawthorne Threads!!
