SEPTEMBER MONTHLY CHALLENGE: TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL
Happy September! This month we are continuing to feature patterns that are perfect for adding to your child’s school wardrobe. I hope you join our #SLPcoChallenge.
For the month of September, our challenge theme is “Too Cool for School”.
The Monthly Challenge
All month long we are featuring a select few patterns from our collection, which will be on sale for 30% off through the months end. If you decide to sew along with us, you can sew up one of the featured patterns and post a modeled or flat lay/mannequin photo in our fan group (or on instagram) with the hashtag #SLPcoChallenge for your chance to WIN a $20 credit!

The Patterns
ADELYN
This ultra cute and comfy top and dress has many features. Choose between tank, flutter sleeves, short sleeves and long sleeves. There are pattern pieces included for a circle skirt or you can do the gathered skirt option in either top or dress length. For the ultimate twirl factor, opt for the full circle skirt- little miss will love to spin in this! The back of this dress is just adorable. With 2 scoop options (modest and deep), one will surely be perfect for you. You can even add the optional bow ties for a super cute and girly look.
SLOANE
Sloane’s Knee High Socks will keep your littles warm all winter long. Choose from ankle, crew or knee high length. Sloane is a fun way to use up all of those knit fabric scraps you have lying around. Perfect for the whole family, fits toddler shoe sizes 8 to youth size 5.
ASPEN
Aspen’s V Bodice Romper & Dress is a sweet vintage inspired dress with a V-shaped bodice. The back feature a beautiful keyhole with ties to close. Choose from romper, top, vintage or dress length. The romper is offered through size 4. Romper can be combined with the top length skirt to make the cutest skirted romper. There are five sleeve options to choose from -sleeveless, flutters, cap, short or long sleeve with elastic casing. Optional inseam pockets. You will want t0 make this romper and dress over and over again.
JUNIPER
Juniper is full of beautiful design elements. Starting with the many bottom options. You can choose from a gathered top or dress. You can also choose between shorts or pants romper bottoms. The slightly wide legs of the romper makes this pattern so cozy to hang out in. The back neckline features a scoop neckline and optional back cutout for that extra added sweetness. Use a variety of knit fabrics for different drape and look. Crushed velvet, double brushed poly, cotton lycra, etc… Pair some cute leggings or stocking under the shorts romper for cooler months. Choose from tank top, short, elbow, 3/4 or long sleeves. This pattern can be pulled down off the shoulders for easy pee breaks. This pattern can be dressed up or made for those cozy sleepy days. A staple in your pattern collection for sure.
LYDIA
Lydia’s Ruffle Back Leotard is the perfect leotard for dance, gymnastics or paired with Maggie for school. It has so many adorable features. This leotard features a ruffle back with a deep or modest scoop. There are 4 sleeve lengths, sleeveless, short, 3/4 and long. Lydia has an optional skirt option and ties. The legs, arms, and neckline are finished with binding so there are no seams showing. This leotard provides the perfect full coverage for all your dancing and gymnastic needs.
MAGGIE
Maggie’s High Waisted Shorts offer a flat front, high waisted suspender shorts look perfect for girls of all ages that can be worn year round. Styled with tights or knee-high socks, Maggie will be your favorite fall look for your little. Maggie has 3 waistband options, high rise, mid-rise, and low rise and can be wide leg, bubble shorts with cuffs or bubble with an elastic hem. The optional suspenders are buttoned in, making them fully removable. Maggie’s High Waisted Shorts have adorable side slant pockets with an optional pocket tab.
BLAIRE
Blaire’s High Low Skirt is packed full of options. You can choose between a simple version or a ruffle version on all the lengths. Length included are knee length, knee length with dramatic back, midi and maxi. Each length has a slight high low hem or you can go super dramatic with the high low knee length/dramatic back option. The waistband features a flat front with elastic back. You can choose between a low rise or mid rise waistband. This pattern is designed for wovens AND knits!
