Showcase Featuring Phoebe
Simple Life Pattern Company Showcase is a series where our talented bloggers and boutique owners share their inspiration, creations, and tips for creating their favorite SLPco looks. We are thrilled to have Anna’s talent to share with you on the blog today. ~ Eleri
Hi everyone! My name is Anna, seamstress at Bizzy Bean Clothing. I am 14 years old and I have 2 sweet (and sassy) little sisters I sew for, Lucy and Elizabeth.
I was so excited to be a part of this showcase and even more excited to make my first SLPco Phoebe. Eek!
I used fabric from Amy Sinibaldi’s newest collection, Playground, for this dress and am so happy with the way it turned out!
I decided to make the dress with short sleeves because I wanted her to be able to wear it now since it is still warm here. I did the ruffle trim with binding option for the sleeves and ruffle neckline as well. For the top layer of the skirt I used Amy’s ” I spy in Kindness” fabric and “Chopsticks in Iris” for the underskirt and sash. And that skirt is oh- so twirly! And the little bow is the perfect finishing touch!
Thanks for stopping by today and if you don’t have Phoebe yet visit Simple Life Pattern Company because it’s perfect for all year round.
How can you resist that double skirt + bow + all those ruffles!?
Visit the SLPco Fan Group on Facebook today to share your Phoebe in this week’s Showcase thread! If you haven’t made a Phoebe, leave a comment on the blog below and mention it in the contest thread for an entry. One winner will be chosen at random for a free SLPco pattern! Contest closes 11 PM 9/4 CST.
