Sew Caroline and Simple Life Patterns are BEYOND THRILLED to be announcing an amazing new collaboration of Mommy and Me sewing patterns! We’ve been working on this for MONTHS and can’t believe the release of our patter collaboration is finally here!
Katie and I have teamed up to bring you SIX awesome new patterns! She has taken three of my most popular patterns (Sugar Pop Top, Magnolia Shorts and Waterfall Tank) and downsized them to fit the little girls in your life. In return, I’ve taken three of her favorite patterns (Ayda Top + Dress, Molly Top, Dress + Maxi and Tammy’s Tulip Shorts) and upsized them to fit women. HOW FUN IS THAT?!

Girls Sugar Pop Top

The Sugar Pop Top was designed for the everyday kid who is looking to up her wardrobe of jeans and t-shirts. This top is constructed simply, but is sophisticated nonetheless. The Peter Pan collar, flutter or cap sleeves, and oh-so-subtle hi-lo hem create a unique and beautiful top to be made and worn time and time again.
Fabrics to use: Light-medium weight woven fabrics such as cotton, chambray, rayon, tencel, voile or knit.
Girls Waterfall Tank

The Waterfall Tank will quickly become your go-to pattern for the hot, summer season and will transition perfectly into fall! Make it in a lightweight quilting cotton, chambray, or linen for a casual look or spruce it up with a gorgeous silk or voile for a more fancy schmacy appearance. The possibilities are really endless with this loose-fitting, yet elegant tank. For the straps, you have two options: tie or fitted. The choice is totally yours!
Girls Magnolia Shorts

The Magnolia Shorts are the perfect mix of casual and chic. The shorts are made to look like a skirt, so you’ll have the style of dressing up a bit with the ease of wearing shorts. They feature a comfortable elastic waistband or you can choose to do the yoga style knit waistband
Ladies Ayda Top + Dress

The Ayda Top + Dress is part of a pattern collaboration with Simple Life Pattern Company. This top and dress features a loosely fitted bodice,”V” back, peplum skirt and optional flutter or cap sleeves. This fast and easy sew will look fabulous layered with a sweater or on its own for warmer spring/summer months.
Fabrics to use: Light to medium weight fabrics such as cotton, chambray, rayon, tencel or voile.
Ladies Molly Top, Dress + Maxi

The Molly Top, Dress and Maxi is part of a pattern collaboration with Simple Life Pattern Company. This pattern features a loose fitting bodice, scoop back, peplum skirt (in top, knee or maxi lengths), optional collar, and optional faux pin tucks down the bodice front. This fast and easy sew will look fabulous layered with a sweater or on its own for warmer spring/summer months.
Fabrics to use: Light to medium weight fabrics such as cotton, chambray, rayon, tencel or voile.
Ladies Tammy’s Tulip Shorts

Tammy’s Tulip Shorts are one of a six pattern pattern collection with Simple Life Pattern Company. This pattern will soon be a favorite go-to for warm weather. These casual tulip shorts are simple to sew and even easier to pair with a tank or tee for an afternoon spent on the go. However you style them, you’ll be sure to stay comfortable and stylish all day long. Theses shorts feature a 3.5″ inseam (with instructions on lengthening or shortening, if you desire), cute trim detailing and a comfortable elastic waistband.
Fabrics to use: Light-medium weight woven fabrics such as cotton, chambray, rayon, tencel, voile or knit.
