SLPco Showcase Featuring Adelyn
Hi, I’m Emily Pressler, owner and designer of Caroline’s Closet children’s boutique and I am so honored to be featured in one of SLPco’s showcases!
I have been a huge fan of Simple Life patterns ever since Katie first opened up shop. I literally have almost every pattern that has been released. Now if I could just get more hours in a day to get them all sewn up! LOL!
I have a daughter, Caroline, whom I named my shop after who will be 8 years old this month. She is my inspiration and reason I began sewing. With Simple Life patterns I’m always confident I will be able to tackle the pattern successfully and have a beautiful finished product.
Within the past year, I have really enjoyed sewing with knits and almost enjoy them even more than sewing with wovens now! That is one reason I was so excited about the Adelyn pattern when it was released.
There is nothing better than a knit pattern that can be made with loads of options. I love that it can be made with a combination of knit and woven or can be made in all knit. It also has multiple sleeve options for year round wear and either a gathered or a circle skirt! There are also two skirt lengths: full and peplum length.
There is an optional bow back and two scoop back lengths (modest and deep scoop).
How is that for options? When I chose the Adelyn as the pattern I wanted to feature I knew I would want to do some fall themed fabrics. I don’t like the falling temperatures (no pun intended!) but I love the Adelyn for fall!
