Hello! My name is Lauren and I am the designer and dressmaker behind The Pink Poppy Shop.
I have two daughters, Lotus and Poppy. They are 7 and 4 and the very reason I started sewing. I love creating. I’ve been sewing professionally for about 4 years now. I used to be so intimidated by paper patterns because I felt like I “didn’t get it.”
PDF patterns changed my life! The pictures, the step by step, precise instructions made sewing so much more fun for me. They allow me to add my own ideas and constantly improve my skills.
The Lucy pattern is my current favorite. It’s so customizable! My daughter Lotus loves the oversized pockets.
I chose to make this one in a Robert Kaufman slub chambray. Trimmed in tatted pom poms, a little aqua fringe, and neon chevron embroidered ribbon. It’s light, but not sheer.
The racerback is TO DIE FOR! Living in Louisiana, sleeves are few and far between.
The Lucy pattern is quick and so easy for such an adoring look. Dress it up, dress it down, Lucy is the bees knees!
This pattern is a staple in my business, and my girls’ wardrobe. I highly recommend it!
