Top 5 sewing projects with the Cricut Maker
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Cricut. All opinions are 100% mine.
Are you looking for some fun sewing inspo using your Cricut Maker? I am sharing with you 5 of my favorite sewing projects, all cut out on my Maker. I LOVE cutting my projects out on my Cricut Maker because the accuracy of the cuts is amazing, better than anything I can cut out! hehe. I have used my Maker for SOOOO many sewing projects but these are some of my favorites. All of these projects will require the Cricut Maker with Rotary Blade along with the Fabric Grip Mat. These are included with the machine. You may want to get the 12″ x 24″ fabric grip mat if you intend on using the Maker for sewing projects. I find the smaller mat is more restricting on projects.
This was so fun to make and I loved having every piece line up perfectly. I also loved using the water soluble pen to add markings to my pieces which made this bag go together super easy. I added gold piping and I even included directions on how to enclose the lining. I made a few of these. I still use the one below as my makeup bag and I made a second one with insulbright to use as a little cooler when we go out on rides or golfing.
Sewing dolls for kids is so fun and amazingly easy. This gorgeous mermaid doll has all the markings to make it go together quickly. You can use a wide variety of fabrics to create different looks and textures. This makes a great baby shower or birthday gift too!
The one thing I use my Cricut Maker for the most would be quilting. Cutting out the pieces is a bit tedious for me so I love being able to just pop a cutting mat into my Maker and walk away while it cuts everything out for me. Quilting used to be my main gig but it is now a luxury so when I get time to quilt, I get everything prepped and cut out using my Maker. It makes sewing quilts a DREAM! the accuracy of the cuts makes everything come out nice and square.
Okay, here is another fun and easy quilting project using your Cricut Maker. If you are looking for a fast project, I suggest these throw pillow covers. I had some raggedy old pillows that I almost threw away. I decided to toss the cases and keep the pillow form. HST are probably my favorite thing to sew. You can create so many different looks/ layouts with them. Here you can see the same layout but the second pillow has the prints inverted.
Looking for a catch all bag to toss in the car, beach bag or purse? This zipper pouch is great for caring all those little trinkets we just cant live without. Throw some chapstick, sunscreen, keys and cash in it for a trip to the beach. This is a free pattern on our website if you join our fan group.
