You don’t have to be a left-handed seamstress to love what I’m about to show you, but if you are, you’re going to want to stop what you’re doing and write them all on your Christmas list because they will make your sewing life so much easier. As a leftie myself I am always searching for items that make living in a right-handed world that much easier.
Santa came early this year with a stocking full of the greatest cutting tools Fiskar has to offer, as well as some gorgeous new Indy Bloom fabric from Hawthorne Threads and I have used both of these to make a few last minute Christmas gifts for a few special people in my life.

I think I have 4 different Fiskars Rotary Cutters all ranging in different sizes but the Adjustable 3 Position Rotary Cutter has got to be my favorite. Why you ask? It’s pivoting handle locks in three positions, depending on what you are using it for. Plus with the ability to move the blade to either side it works perfect for us lefties. I also have a Softgrip Rotary Cutter that I really like. It also has an adjustable blade and it is very comfortable to hold when you are having to cut a bunch of pieces
I have never found a pair of pinking shears I could use until Fiskar sent these Easy Action Pinking Shears to me. They are so easy to grip and cut threw multiple layers of fabric easily. Like I said at the beginning, you don’t have to be left-handed to find these amazing to use.
I keep these Easy Action Razor Edge scissors next to my sewing machine. They come in handy when trying to cut all of those extra threads without cutting your garments or whatever it is you love to sew.
I have been drooling over the Indy Bloom Christmas line from the moment Hawthorne Threads first released it. The florals and pine cones come together flawlessly and then add a gingham and it’s holiday fabric heaven! I was so excited to get my hands on some and make a few Christmas gifts for family with it.
The Perfect Potholders are a fun and easy pattern for that someone special who loves to cook. They come with a PDF file as well as an SVG file for your cutting machine…and did I mention the pattern is free!!
Holly’s Reversible Apron is perfect for every baker small or big! The pattern includes sizes for children, tween and women. You can make it will a beautiful ruffle bottom or leave it simple.
