Lugu by Jessica Swift for Art Gallery Fabrics Blog Tour
Happy Friday! I hope you all are getting ready for fun filled weekend! I am SOOOOOOO ready for the weekend. Today I am going to share with you the cutest little dress I made for Jessica Swift’s Lugu blog tour. This is her 3rd collection for Art Gallery Fabrics and it is just adorable. I love her whimsy designs. We have finally been getting “decent” weather (okay, 45 degrees isn’t all that great). We attempted outdoor pictures for the first time this year and it didnt really turn out. Right as we finished doing her hair, our nice weather turned into a crazy windy afternoon! It was a pretty chilly wind too and Jaimesyn was a trooper but we finally gave up and went back to my sewing room for pictures. I only had one okay picture from the many I tried to take. Her hair was all over the place, along with her dress.
I had gotten both of the knits from JS’s collection and we LOVE knit dresses in our house. I decided to make the Abigail Dress. Those sleeves, and those pockets…. just so adorable. It was a really fast sew too. PS – i am so in love with my new blue velvet kiddy couch! hehe.

Here are a few pics we were able to grab in the sewing room. I fussy cut the pockets so there would be an owl showing on each side.
I choose to do the circle skirt version on Abigail, it is so perfect for twirling.
I cant tell you how many times she fell trying to do super big spins. But she loved every bit of it.
