Sew Coordinated’s EPIC kit

YAY!!!! Today is the day I get to share these awesome pictures! The wonderful Breanne from Sew Coordinated asked if I would make some cute things with this months EPIC kit! Let me just say – the fabrics in this kit are beyond gorgeous!

The linens were a delight to work with, the lace is so feminine – perfect for my oldest little girly girl!!! The white fabric (RK raw and refined stripe) is now one of my all time FAVORITE fabrics – i already purchased more to have on hand! The texture and contrast with the stripes is a MUST have! The kit also had cute little bow buttons, lots of different types of lace, cute tulle flower bows, thread and one of my favorite things in the kit, the pearl broach thing (okay – not sure what it is actually called but the circle of pearls is AMAZING).

When I got the kit I was beyond excited and couldn’t wait to start cutting into all the beautiful fabrics, I sat down and played with the fabric, (basically drooled all over it!!!) haha. I was trying to pick the best patterns to showcase the fabrics and cute embellishments that come in the kit. I already knew I wanted to make the skirt shown in the picture with the linen and one of the laces. I was obsessing over the little bow buttons and how to use them – I also needed a top pattern that was a slim fit to pair with the skirt. So, i went to bed that night and had a dream  – i dreamed up this top and the next morning, bright and early, I whipped it up! I am so thankful for this kit as it brought these 2 patterns to life! (yep, sneaky peak…. coming VERY soon….). The pattern features an A-line top and dress length, it will also have measurements for a gathered skirt and also has sleeves. The skirt have a few different options as well (wait until you see it with pockets! oh Lordy!) So thank you Breanne for inspiring these patterns!

The first thing I thought of when I saw the tan linen was pants! my girls hit a huge growth spurt and needed new pants – so I sewed up some Emilya’s. My kids are a hot mess – all the time! There is something about a little girl in linen pants and cute top! They are still super comfy but look a bit more sophisticated which is totally my style for the girls. (I attached a safety pin to the pearl broach so i can use it on multiple outfits).

AND…. the epic kit will have a code for any pattern from SLPco! And just an FYI – this kit is VERY limited, expected to sell out pretty fast, so go get yours now! Visit the Sew Coordinated Facebook page to find out how to get yours. You can visit the SLPco fan page to see more creations using this kit!

Happy Sewing,
