I am absolutely obsessed this year with my daughters’ dresses using the  Joy to the World custom knit line from Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop. Several of the holiday knits and panels I used are STILL in stock, but you should also check out the cute dinos, birthday party, and Valentine’s Day themed prints up for pre-order at in Round 20!

It has been a tradition in my household to order the holiday-themed panels and fabric from Peek-a-Boo Fabric Shop to create comfortable and unique pieces for my children to wear all throughout the holiday season. I always choose patterns that are dressy enough for church, but comfortable enough to play in all day on Christmas day. Since I live in North Dakota, I also make sure I choose something that will look good with leggings for my girls so they are WARM as we bundle up to go to relatives’ houses. This year, I even chose to do double layered circle skirts for extra poof, warmth, and TWIRL!

This year, my family is unable to go to my home (Southern California) for Christmas, so I made sure to have the girls’ dresses ready so they could wear them to church when we were home for Thanksgiving! As you can see, the child-size panel looks great in different variations of the  Isla knit dress (drop waist, regular bodice, curved bodice) AND it works in a wide range of sizes. I LOVE that the panels from Peek-a-Boo Fabric Shop are nice and long for my tall kids! I even got a drop waist bodice out of a size 10!  (I also need to share that shortly after this picture was taken, one of the dresses was SOAKED in red punch which washed out with my favorite stain spray and the fabric looks good as new).

He rarely makes an appearance on the Simple Life blog, but I do have a four-year-old son. The last two years, I have made him a  Varsity Cowl by Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop to coordinate with his sister’s looks. This year I chose to use a different holiday panel for him since he LOVES trains! The Varsity Cowl is one of my favorite boys’ patterns, but you should definitely check out the rest of PAB’s boys’ line for the little men in your life!

I really wanted to get a winter shot of all the kids outside, but we just had a rocky start to winter which meant school cancellations and wind chill conditions that prevented outdoor pictures, so we grabbed a shot after we finished church on Sunday!
