25 Days of Christmas – Day 10 Braxton

On the tenth day of Christmas Simple Life Pattern Company and Art Gallery Fabrics gave to me a Nutcracker inspired Braxton that you must see!

One of my tasks when creating this 25 days of Christmas series was to incorporate AGF Pure Solids. I thought a red blazer would look cute for Christmas but wanted to add some sparkle to it somehow. I was browsing the buttons at Joann’s one day and saw these military style buttons and it hit me: A NUTCRACKER INSPIRED BRAXTON!

I free-handed the trim design on the sleeves and blazer front. I used gold scroll trim to create a chevron pattern on the sleeves. For the blazer front I used a flat gold trim that I could curve easily.  I used Fabri-Tac glue to hold the trim in place until I could sew it down permanently.

This blazer is perfect paired with a solid tee and tights. You could also use some of the holiday SVG files to create a fun tee to wear underneath with jeans. The best part of this blazer is that it is unisex and great for Nutcracker ballerinas or soldiers.

To achieve this look

AGF fabric is Pure Solids London Red.

Bow is from my friend, Shayna, at Yellow Daisy Bows.
