May Monthly Challenge: Butterfly Garden
Happy Spring!! As we head into summer, we are highlighting some great patterns for going from Spring into Summer. I hope you join our #SLPcoChallenge.
For the month of May, our challenge theme is “Butterfly Garden”.
The Monthly Challenge
All month long we are featuring a select few patterns from our collection, which will be on sale for 30% off through the months end. If you decide to sew along with us, you can sew up one of the featured patterns and post a modeled or flat lay/mannequin photo in our fan group (or on instagram) with the hashtag #SLPcoChallenge for your chance to WIN a $20 credit!

- SLPco Team’s Choice (this can be anything based on embellishments, photography, use of pattern, eye catching, etc.)
The Patterns
Riley
Looking for the perfect spring and summer dress? Riley’s is the perfect choice. Featuring a beautiful racerback, 3 lengths: swing top, dress and maxi. You can even add side seam pockets. Perfect for those summertime treasures. This dress is perfectly full for twirling and that beautiful A line drape. This pattern uses binding for the neckline and arm holes instead of a facing/ lining. Perfect for keeping cool on a hot summer day.
Ayda
This top and dress features a V back, and made with woven fabrics. Has measurements to do either a gathered skirt or use the pattern pieces for the circle/ peplum style. With optional flutter sleeves, lace back, skirt lining and instructions to add trim to the V back, the styles/options are endless. If the V back option is a little too much skin, you can choose to do the modest back option which covers more skin – great for the older girls that need to cover their bra straps.
Kyra
Kyra is packed full of options. Choose from a regular empire bodice or a drop waist bodice. 3 skirt lengths include peplum, tunic and dress – all three lengths can be made with a gathered skirt or circle skirt! The drop waist bodice is perfect for showcasing those fun panels we all love. Kyra’s features a super fun strappy cross over back, perfect for those warm sunny days. I have also included an A line top and A line dress with this pattern, perfect for those sporty girls / tweens. That’s not all! I also included a fun little hack for a sports bra / crop top option! Make an adorable high low tunic for the perfect play top. Use the crop top as a swim top. So many options. Create over 20 different looks with just 1 pattern!
Pixie
Pixie’s Panties is the perfect panty pattern for any little lady. With four patterns in one, Pixie is the ultimate pattern. Designed for knit, these stylish and comfy panties feature a bikini style, brief style and panel style panty. All styles can be finished with bands, binding or fold over elastic. Plus…you will also receive a FREE “Days of the Week” cut file when you join our facebook fan group.
Missy
Missy’s Tank dress is perfect for dress up and play time. Missy’s has so many options, get a bunch of different looks in just one pattern. Baby Missy’s also features a romper add on pattern included that has shorts and pants. Choose between an optional bodice ruffle, bodice bib, cute pockets for all those little treasures. The bodice is made of knit so your girl will be super comfy while playing!
Cordelia
Cordelia is a beautiful swim coverup perfect for these warm summer months. Layer it over your swimsuit and you are ready to hit the beach and look fabulous. Designed for wovens or knits, it is a very versatile pattern. Use a soft flowy rayon for a breezy cover up. Use your favorite trims to really make your Cordelia pop.
Bella
Bella features a dainty bodice with the options of straight spaghetti straps, v-back straps or a strappy back with both of the previous options included. The back is secured with elastic for both the ease of putting on the dress and for the perfect fit. There are now 4 lengths to choose from – tunic, vintage, dress or maxi. For the skirt options, you can make a simple skirt or ruffled skirt. There are several ways to embellish this pattern included in the instructions. Bella is the perfect sun dress to wear on the beach or everyday play.
