Pattern Release: Scarlett’s Sunsuit
You read that right! Simple Life Pattern Company is releasing our FIRST baby pattern!! YAY! Allow me to introduce you to Scarlett’s Sun Suit!
This adorable sun suit is sure to turn heads anywhere your little one walks, toddles, crawls, or rolls! Scarlett is the perfect pattern for an advanced beginner and is sized from newborn to 3t. The pattern includes detailed instructions on shirring, so if you’ve never shirred before, this is the great opportunity to give it a try! The bodice, bum ruffles and leg openings are finished with a rolled hem, which can be done using a serger or a sewing machine.
Let’s talk about the options! For the ruffle lovers, the pattern provides a cutting chart and directions for adding three bum ruffles and flutter sleeves. You can also make a simple version with simple straps and no bum ruffles. An optional pocket for the front of the suit and bows for the bodice look great on the simple or ruffled versions! The pattern includes instructions for a snap crotch (easy diaper changes heyyy-o!) or sewn crotch.
