25 Days of Christmas – Day 15 Felicity
Day 15 of 25 Days of Christmas with Simple Life Pattern Company and Art Gallery Fabrics is here! I’m fawning over today’s featured dress, Felicity.
When I saw this fabric from AGF I knew I needed to sew with it. This fabric transported me home for the holidays. It reminds me so much of growing up in southeast Oklahoma with all the pine trees in the Ouachita National Forest and deer hunting with my dad. This dress gives me all the nostalgia.
I chose a maxi length to showcase this gorgeous print. An AGF Pure Solids coordinating fabric was perfect for all those micro ruffles I love so much on Felicity. The bodice was fussy cut to highlight one of those adorable little deer.
Although I love the ruffles of the Felicity pattern, my favorite part is the back triangular cutout. How sweet is this back bodice? Just give me all the cutouts. I used some of the coordinating solid to cover my snaps for a cohesive look.
It’s safe to say Chacely was a big fan of this dress. She was full of Christmas cheer.
To achieve this look
AGF fabric is Among the Pines and Pure Solids Sienna Brick.
Deer headband is from the dollar spot at Target.
Freebie
I’ve got two freebies for your kiddos today. The first is a free printable for a reindeer toy. With just a few basic craft supplies you can make these adorable paper reindeers that are perfect for pretend play. If you do Elf on the Shelf with your kiddos this could be a fun craft that the Elf brings.
For the second freebie, I have a Cricut craft for you that is great for handing out at your child’s school party. Grab some cardstock and lollipops to create these adorable Rudolf Lollipop handouts.
Recipe
Today’s recipe is a Christmastime take on a classic Chex Mix treat. Reindeer Chow is a yummy, chocolaty, peanut butter snack. Add the mix into small containers or baggies to take on-the-go. I plan on making a batch this week to take while we go look at Christmas lights.
