25 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS – DAY 9 Jayden
On the ninth day of Christmas Simple Life Pattern Company and Art Gallery Fabrics gave to me a Jayden and Sarah Ann outfit that is so lovely!
So, I’m all for a super fancy Christmas dress but that just isn’t realistic to wear every day. Especially not with children. We live in the Midwest and have our fair share of cold, wintry days where we are stuck inside all day. That’s where the stunning Jayden hoodie and Sarah Ann leggings come in. My oldest loves her new momma made outfit that was oh so perfect for a cold day inside writing letters to Santa and decorating our tree.
Like most SLPco patterns, Jayden is loaded with options. I’m a sucker for ruffles so I added all the optional ruffles to the Jayden I made. Those raglan shoulder ruffles are my favorite part of this pattern. My daughter loved the hood and kangaroo pocket.
With so many options, you can mix and match fabric prints for a unique look each time. I chose to showcase two prints and a solid to make this outfit really pop. I also made a pair of Sarah Ann leggings using the same three fabrics for a cozy wintry set my daughter can wear all season long.

A Holiday Craft
Today’s freebie is great for a winter day inside when your kids are going feral and you need a way to entertain them. Just roll out some craft paper (or leftover wrapping paper) and trace around their little bodies. Then let them decorate away with markers, crayons, and stickers.
A Holiday Treat
Need another way to keep your kids entertained? Let them make their own little Christmas tree pizzas for lunch or dinner. You can even use the premade pizza dough from the refridgerator case at your grocery store to keep it super simple and quick. Just add your favorite toppings to make everyone happy.
Happy Christmas sewing,
